Warpaint Scoly

Own an absolute show-stopper for your low-reef sandbed. The Warpaint Scoly is a legendary, ultra-premium LPS coral coveted for its thick, fleshy button-like shape and chaotic splash patterns. Featuring a dramatic crimson red base violently streaked with neon green, metallic teal, and deep blue-grey banding, no two specimens look alike.

As a slow-growing, solitary polyp, this Australian native is highly prized for its exceptional hardiness and its hypnotic, glowing fluorescence under actinic LED lighting networks.

No two specimens share the exact same pattern. The splashes of red and green split organically across its fleshy tissue, giving you a custom-painted centerpiece fish-only or reef layout.

Naturally adapted to deeper reef flats. To protect its vibrant colors and prevent bleaching, avoid high-intensity light. They look their absolute best and display maximum neon fluorescence under heavy blue spectrums.

Should be placed directly on a fine sandbed or nested low in the rockwork. Avoid rough edges that could rip its flesh, and keep it away from sand-sifting gobies that might bury it.

Highly responsive to target feeding. Offering it meaty foods like mysis shrimp, chopped krill, or specialized LPS pellets 1–2 times a week will dramatically increase its tissue puffiness and depth of color.

While it has short feeding tentacles at night, it lacks sweeping stingers. It will not actively attack neighbors, but it can be easily stung by aggressive chalices or galaxea. Give it a few inches of physical space.
