Command attention in your reef with the breathtaking presence of a Large Australian Kingspawn Colony! Far from your average frogspawn, the genuine Aussie Kingspawn is a rare find sourced from very few select regions. It is famous for growing massive, heavy branching heads that naturally tower over typical spawns. With thick, bubbly skeletal structures and explosive visual density, this single centerpiece turns any tank floor into an immediate show tank.
Why It Deserves a Spot in Your Tank:
- Massive Visual Presence: Boasts thick, ultra-inflated tentacles that create a luxurious, dense canopy swaying gracefully in the water column.
- Rare Australian Lineage: Unlike common varieties, Kingspawn features a unique bubbly tentacle architecture that bridges the gap between premium octospawns and classic frogspawns.
- Unrivaled Bioluminescence: Under heavy blue actinics, the contrasting body-to-tip coloration creates an electric, multi-dimensional color depth that pops across the room.
- Sturdy Showpiece Structure: This well-established colony arrives on a massive branching base, ready to settle directly onto your primary rockscape.
Quick Care Parameters:
- Lighting: Low to Moderate (PAR 100 - 120). It loves a stable mid-to-lower tank placement where it won't bleach from overhead hotspots.
- Water Flow: Low to Medium gentle, indirect flow. Give it just enough movement to let the tentacles fluidly dance without pinning the tissue against its hard skeleton.
- Placement: Lower to mid rockwork. Keep in mind that as a dominant Euphyllia, it can extend sweeper tentacles at night—provide a 5–6 inch buffer zone away from sensitive softies or SPS.
- Diet: Photosynthetic, but highly responsive to weekly targeted squirts of minced mysis or liquid coral foods to help fuel its thick tissue expansion.
