Bring a wave of warmth, elegance, and captivating movement into your aquarium with the stunning Aussie Ultra Peach Wall Hammer (Euphyllia ancora). Unlike common green variants, this rare, collector-grade large polyp stony (LPS) coral features an exquisite, non-branching continuous skeleton draped in luxurious fleshy polyps. Its signature anchor-shaped tentacles display a smooth, gradient blend of pastel pink, soft peach, and warm metallic gold tips that capture and softly reflect the reef light as they sway gracefully in the current.
Why It Stands Out
- Premium Wall Growth Pattern: Forms a single, continuous meandering skeleton that grows into a magnificent, seamless showpiece colony.
- Ultra-Grade Color Morph: Highly collectible peach and golden undertones give your reef scape a rare color spectrum that balances out cold blue and green corals.
- Hypnotic Fluid Motion: Renowned for adding unmatched visual texture and gentle kinetic movement to the middle-to-lower sections of a tank.
Quick Care & Aquarium Parameters
While branching hammers are easy to fragment, wall hammers require a more mature, stable environment to prevent tissue recession. They reward stable water chemistry with massive polyp inflation.
- Care Level: Moderate (requires a stable, well-established reef environment).
- Lighting: Moderate (100–150 PAR). Avoid high light to prevent tissue irritation.
- Water Flow: Low to moderate, indirect. Never blast a wall hammer directly, as sharp skeleton edges can tear its delicate flesh.
- Placement: Mid-to-low rockwork or substrate rubble. Give it at least 3–4 inches of breathing room; it extends stinging sweeper tentacles at night that will irritate neighbors.
-
Water Chemistry: Keep parameters rock-solid to ensure success.
- Alkalinity: 8–9 dKH
- Calcium: 400–450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1300–1350 ppm
- Nitrates: 5–15 ppm | Phosphates: 0.03–0.1 ppm
- Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic. It benefits greatly from weekly target feeding of finely minced mysis shrimp or specialized liquid LPS foods to support its skeletal growth.
