Nature Magic Favia Coral (Dipsastraea / Favia sp.)
Cast a spell of pure, hypnotic color over your sandbed. The Nature Magic Favia is an absolute show-stopper, boasting a rich, metallic forest-green and deep teal base that contrasts sharply with blistering, glowing neon-orange and radioactive yellow centers. Under actinic LED lighting, this coral undergoes a jaw-dropping transformation, revealing a deep three-dimensional texture and an explosion of fluorescent color that instantly catches the eye from across the room.
As an exceptionally hardy, slow-growing LPS coral, it forms thick, beautiful mounding domes over your substrate or lower rockwork, making it a reliable and rewarding choice for intermediate reef-keepers.

Key Features & Tank Requirements
🎨 Hypnotic Neon Contrast
Features an incredible "alien eye" style coloration with high-contrast, glowing rings. As the colony grows, its corallites multiply to form a dense, stone-like mosaic pattern that adds rich structural diversity to your reef layout.
💡 Adaptable Lighting Profile
Thrives under a wide variety of lighting conditions but achieves its most vivid, deep color under moderate, diffused lighting. To prevent bleaching or color fading, always acclimate this coral slowly on the sandbed before moving it upward.
🌪️ Steady, Indirect Water Flow
Requires moderate, continuous water movement to keep detritus from collecting in its deep, cup-like corallites. Avoid placing it directly in front of powerful wavemaker streams, which can cause its fleshy tissue to retract or tear.
🗡️ Nighttime Aggression Buffer
Like most Favia species, the Nature Magic Favia transforms into an aggressive defender after dark. When the tank lights go out, it extends short but potent stinging sweeper tentacles. Leave a safety zone of at least 2–3 inches between this coral and its neighbors.
🥩 Enthusiastic Feeding Response
Highly responsive to target feeding. Offering it specialized micro-pellets, powdered reef foods, or frozen mysis shrimp 1–2 times a week will dramatically increase its tissue thickness, boost its growth rate, and deepen its natural coloration.
