Foxface Rabbitfish (Siganus vulpinus)
Introduce the hardest worker your marine aquarium will ever see. The Foxface Rabbitfish is a striking, iconic species boasting a brilliant, electric-yellow body contrasted sharply by a distinct black-and-white striped "fox-like" face. Renowned for its peaceful demeanor and absolute immunity to aggressive tank mates, this active grazer is highly sought after for its unmatched ability to naturally eradicate problem algae from your aquascape.
Whether you are trying to clean up a messy reef or looking for a vibrant, hardy center-row swimmer, the Foxface is a bulletproof addition to any medium-to-large marine system.

Key Features & Tank Requirements
🦏 Venomous Defensive Armor
Equipped with sharp, venomous dorsal spines that act as a permanent deterrent to bullying. Because of this built-in protection, even aggressive predators like triggers, large tangs, and lionfish will leave the Foxface entirely alone. Always use caution and handle this fish with a rigid container rather than a mesh net.
🌿 The Ultimate Algae Eradicator
A legendary consumer of aquarium nuisances. The Foxface will eagerly graze on filamentous hair algae, bryopsis, macroalgae, and even invasive bubble algae (Valonia) that most other fish completely ignore.
🥗 Strict Herbivore Focus
While they happily eat meaty treats like frozen mysis shrimp, their long-term health depends on high-fiber vegetation. Feed them daily sheets of dried seaweed (Nori) secured to an algae clip alongside high-quality spirulina flakes and herbivore pellets.
🎭 Instantly Camouflaged Stress Response
Do not alarm your customers if their Foxface arrives or goes to sleep looking mottled brown and black! This "camouflage mode" is a natural stress response. Their brilliant, sunny-yellow coloration returns rapidly once they feel safe and secure in their environment.
🤝 Exceptional Tank Community Citizen
Wonderfully peaceful toward all other fish species. Unlike territorial tangs, they do not pick fights over swimming lanes, making them one of the easiest large utility fish to integrate into an established community reef or fish-only system.
